Visit of Fr Gabriel Harty O.P.
Fr Gabriel Harty visited the Parish in October for two days to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. At the Saturday Vigil, he concelebrated Mass and gave the Homily. At the Monday Night Novena Mass, he led the Rosary before Mass and then preached and prayed the Novena Prayers during the Mass.

On September 29th, 2013, Mr Martin Barlow along with four others, was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate. On Monday 30th, he assisted at Mass with Fr O'Dwyer and then met some parishioners afterwards. On Saturday 5th October, Martin assisted at the Saturday Vigil Mass, with a Parish Reception afterwards in the Pastoral Centre.
Letter from Pope Francis
During the visit of the Papal Nuncio, and as it was Father’s Day, the children sent the Holy Father, Pope Francis a present.
A letter from the Secretariat of State at the Vatican dated 5th July says
“Dear Children, His holiness Pope Francis was pleased to receive your kind message and he thanks you for your framed Father’s Day greeting. The Holy Father, in requesting your continued prayers for himself and for his ministry as Bishop of Rome, assures you of his prayers. He sends his blessing to you and your families.

Feast of the Ascension
The Saturday night Vigil for the Feast of the Ascension was a Mass for Foreign Nationals who have made their home in the Parish. They were all invited to Mass to participate through the Sacred Music, Prayers of the Faithful and Offertory Procession.
