PARISH OF DRUMCREE

Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ’s invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Reflection

#Who do you say that I am?

We call Jesus by many names

and we all have our own answer

to Jesus’ question

Who do you say that I am?

We call him the child Jesus,

for he came among us like any of us,

born of his mother, helpless and weak,

needing the care we all want

at the beginning of life.

We call him Saviour

for his forgiveness offers us

a way not to let sin control us,

and his call to be disciples offers

a way to the world to overcome

evil.

We call him Brother,

for he is like us

in everything but sin,

sharing our joys and sorrows,

wanting, like us, to love those we care for,

and longing for a world of equality and justice,

for all his poor.

We call him Lord,

for he is the word of God

and Son of God,

who comes from heaven

to guide us home.

He is the truth of God

teaching the meaning of life

so that we will never be lost

in our search and hope for God.

We call him Friend,

for that is what he calls us.

He is the friend who shares himself with us,

who is the hand

of guidance and consolation

all the days of our life.

Who to you say that I am?

Friend, Lord, Brother, Child,

Son of God, Word of Life,

Way, Truth and Life.

The JOY rule

Think of Jesus

Think of Others

Think of You
