PARISH OF DRUMCREE

Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ’s invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Reflection

PARISH OF DRUMCREE

# The link of heaven and earth

As Jesus departs from us,

there is a new link between heaven and earth,

and we are present in heaven.

He brings our sufferings,

marked in the wounds of hands, feet and side.

He brings our sin,

which has wounded him

and through his wounds we are healed.

He gives on earth

the healing of heaven.

Hr brings our hopes,

alive in his risen body;

our hopes that good will overcome evil,

that justice will prevail over greed

and that love is the most powerful force we know.

He brings with him

our hope that we will live forever

and because he lives now in eternity,

we know we too shall live,

alive to joy and peace,

in the circle of love which is the home of God.

God’s glory is Jesus fully alive,

God’s glory is men and women fully alive,

fully alive to love,

to the call of God,

and to the life we can share with each other.

Each of us is the glory of God,

glimpsed partly here,

to be fully enjoyed in heaven.

Where Jesus is,

we shall follow.

The JOY rule

Think of Jesus

Think of Others

Think of You
