PARISH OF DRUMCREE
Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and
Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ's invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Reflection

Nourishment and energy for the journey

In our hunger for love,
God offers the nourishment
of his love for us;
a love which is total
the total acceptance
that each of us yearns for.

In our hunger for wholeness
wanting to know we are forgiven,
God offers the nourishment of forgiveness,
inviting us to leave the past
where it best belongs -
in his compassionate heart.

In our hunger for meaning,
God offers the nourishment
of the word and life of Jesus,
and we know, in all our confusion,
that we are not lost.

And in our desire to do good,
to create a better world for people,
to live in the cause of justice and peace,
God offers energy and new hope.
We know he is on our side,
and we work, not on our own,
but with him.

In our desire to live in love,
forgiveness and reconciliation,
he offers the energy of his risen Son,
and in our hopes to care for those we love,
children and family,
friends and the poor,
he offers energy
from our friendship with Jesus.

In the Bread of Life, the body of Christ,
God gives food for the journey.
In the Wine of life, the blood of Christ,

God gives energy for the journey.

As we eat this food and drink this wine,
we know we never walk alone.
