PARISH OF DRUMCREE
Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and
Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ's invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Introducing the New Missal that will come into effect on the First Sunday of Advent:  Some of the Prayers that are changing are printed below. We will start using them over the next few months. In September and October there will be an evening of reflection on the Mass and the changes to help us gain a better understanding and appreciation of the Sacred Liturgy.

In September we will start using the following Prayer responses:

Penitential Act A

I confess to almighty God
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and in what I have failed to do,
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grevious fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.

Invitation to Holy Communion

Priest:  Behold the Lamb of God,
behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.

People:  Lord, I am not worthy
that you should enter under my roof,
but only say the word
and my soul shall be healed.

Reflection

Like treasure hidden in a field

Where is the Kingdom of God?
How to recognise it?
Has it an anthem like a country,
a flag like a nation,
a language of its own?

In the middle of the heart of experience is found
the Kingdom of God.
Through the gaps of life,
shines the Kingdom of God.
Like treasure hidden in a field.

Glimpsed in the narrow gaps
between tight thoughts
and you're surprised by a new idea.
Glimpsed in the narrow gaps
between people who know each other
and you're surprised by the newness of
one you love.
Glimpsed in the narrow gap
of acceptance of unjustice and
inequality
and you're surprised by new initiatives.

There is no flag, no anthem, no
language
separate from
the flag, anthem and language
of our experience of life:
the flag, anthem and language
of love, compassion, truth
of the works of justice,
of Eucharist.

Like treasure hidden in a field
