PARISH OF DRUMCREE
Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and
Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ's invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Holy Week and Easter:  it is now a few weeks since our liturgical celebrations and gatherings and people are still talking and reflecting on how we celebrated from Passion Sunday; the honest and change of heart celebration of confession; the dignified celebration of the Lord's Supper and adoration of the Eucharist which followed; the solemn celebration of the Lord's Passion and the SHYNE Stations of the Cross who should get an award for Best Adaptation of Faith and Truth Awareness; the patient prayerfulness of the Prayers of the Church on Holy Saturday morning and the anticipated joy of the blessing of Easter Breakfast food for the Polish Community (now in deep mourning); the faith filled and faithfilled and grace pouring celebrations of the Easter Vigil and the Easter Morning Masses; the sun blessed early morning celebration of the Dawn Service at the lakes.
It was as if Jesus walked among us as he did in the Holy Land - great crowds accompanied him then and here in Drumcree.  It says something of our faith in God, our hope in the promises of Christ, our love for each other.  Our growing in faith through our participation in some or all of these celebrations takes effort and openness of heart on our part and makes the effort of so many who help prepare all the celebrations worthwhile.  On your thank all who played behalf I  thank all who played a part in our celebrations of those days.
May we continue to grow in Faith, Hope and Love.
Let us pray for each other.

                     Michael O'Dwyer, P.P.
