PARISH OF DRUMCREE
Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and
Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ's invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Come Back to Mass weekend 9th/10th January
Churches were full over Christmas and New Year - a very
positive statement of faith and wanting to belong. For some it may have been their annual visit to Church or experience of
being part of the Parish Community - if that is you or a member of your family or circle of friends, we want to encourage you to come again next weekend or invite such a person to come to Mass with you. It may be the start of a good habit or doing something spiritual that you've been putting off for a while.
Come and see.

Reflection

The Way, the Truth and the Life.

Who is this child?
The Light who guides our way,
The Word who is our truth,
The One in whom all have life.

Jesus is the way that guides our steps,
a hand that holds us on life's journey,
a direction for our desires and hopes,
an invitation to be involved with others,
for he himself has walked the way of
friendship;
encouragement in times of trouble,
for he has walked the way of pain;
a signpost through life and into eternity,
for he walked the way of resurrection.

Jesus is the truth that enlightens our minds,
speaking the word of God in times of confusion and trouble,
opening the mind to truth when many options are presented,
giving the gift of meaning to life
when loss and anxiety may take over,
for he himself lived in the light of God.

And the Lord Jesus is our life,
in his words and gestures of love,
in his call to love and service,
sharing the bread of life
in the Eucharist of nourishment;
sharing the life of forgiveness
in times of guilt and sin and failings.

Who is this child?
The Word who is our truth,
the Light who guides our way,
the Life who promises love forever.
