PARISH OF DRUMCREE
Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and
Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ's invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Reflection

Mine is not a kingdom of this world

Many voices direct our lives:
voices which direct to wealth and
comfort,
or to relationships which do not last,
voices for peace and for justice,
and the voices we tune into in prayer.

Voices speaking of violence and power
and others of compassion and
forgiveness;
voices which call us back to another era
when things now seem better than they were then.

And the voice of Jesus.
The voice which appeals for peace and justice

in a world often proposing violence and greed;
the voice which is strong  for
forgiveness
when our own hearts are bitter;
the voice which speaks the truth
that is fully human and is the word of God.

His Kingdom is not of this world,
but is part of this world;
like the branch is part of the tree.
And when we speak of justice, peace,
forgiveness and love,
we speak of his Kingdom;
and when we live from his truth,
we are not far from the Kingdom of God.
