Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and
Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ’s invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

The Third Parish Garden Party was once again a great success.  Many hours of work before, during and after went into this event.  Thanks to all who helped in any way in the preparations; those who provided and donated and prepared food and refreshments, barbeques, stage, chairs, tables, those who looked after cooking, serving, the children/young people/adult play areas, music,.  Thanks to all who helped return the Church grounds to their normal neatness.  To all who showed up - Parishioners and visitors - and enjoyed the evening.  To God and the Child of Prague for the weather!

Due to ongoing complaints about motorised vehicles damaging headstones and grave surrounds the cemetery gates will be locked.  Visitors to the cemetery are asked to park in the adjacent car park.  All visitors are asked to respect the cemetery grounds.

What is this wisdom that has been given him?

We say about someone we know well:
Sure he’s one of our own.
One of our own: a sure way of saying we’re proud of him -
but we won’t take him so seriously.

That’s what they were saying about Jesus in Nazareth.
And others said the same: Can anything good some out of Nazareth?
Small-town boy with big-time dreams.
How could he have any wisdom:
Sure we know his sisters, his cousins.

And that’s where he got his wisdom,
the wisdom each of us shares.
Wisdom comes through ordinary people.
We know we get some of our wisdom from our family.
We pick up wisdom with the homemade scones out of the oven.
That’s how it is.
One of our own.
Maybe you’ve given more wisdom than you thought.

The wisdom of Jesus is never too complicated.
It’s things like: if you want to be happy, see what you can give to
That’s how he saw happiness, and that’s the full wisdom of Jesus.
He saw it at home - in Nazareth, and he saw it in heaven.
Places of love.
We live by the wisdom of love, rather than by other wisdoms -
like the happiness that comes from straight As in exams,
or from our job, money, or physical appearance.

Real wisdom is to be in touch with love in your life,
and if you’re in touch with love,
you’re in touch with Jesus.
