PARISH OF DRUMCREE

Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ’s invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Reflection

#

Peace I leave you, my own peace I give you

Don’t we all want this gift of peace?

Peace in our hearts,

the Easter gift of the risen Lord,

the promise of the Spirit of God.

The promises of Jesus

do not seem to include

wealth, employment,

freedom from tension, success,

health for ever, or freedom from worry,

nor many more things we hope and pray for.

Peace I leave you, my own peace I give you

So what is this peace?

The peace that nobody can take away:

the peace of being valued for who I am,

of being at home with other people,

of letting go past hurts,

of doing what I know to be right,

of being convinced of eternity,

of being loved,

and of knowing the possibility of love -

love given, promised and shared,

of knowing that love and life will last forever,

and the peace of forgiveness when I fail.

The peace of being always with

someone who totally loves us,

and believes in us:

who sees us and loves us as we are,

and calls us to be what we can be.

And the peace of knowing that with

 Jesus,

we can create in love

a world according to the mind of God.

The JOY rule

Think of Jesus

Think of Others

Think of You
