PARISH OF DRUMCREE
Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and
Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ's invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Reflection

You must therefore be perfect just as your Heavenly Father is perfect.

To be perfect as God is perfect:
really, can we be like that?
The really perfect quality of God
is the love he has for each.

A love which
affirms, forgives, accepts,
enjoys, calls us,
day by day.

A love which strives for justice,
which wants to include everyone.
It's to be part of the circle of the love of God;
that's what being perfect seems to mean.

That you would have no faults,
nor think no evil,
nor fail in friendship;

Is that sometimes how we feel
God expects us to be,
a type of harsh, remote God,
`perfect in every way'?

`As the Father loves me,
so I love you...
love one another.'
This is the type of love which is God's perfect love.

Into that circle of love, the Lord invites you;
the love that you become part of,
a love that
affirms, forgives, accepts,
makes allowances,
strives for justice,
and that love is made perfect
because you and I want to be part of it.

You must therefore be perfect just as your Heavenly Father is perfect.
