PARISH OF DRUMCREE
Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and
Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ's invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Reflection

From darkness to light

In all the Easter work of Jesus,
he led the diciples
out of darkness into light,
out of sadness into joy,
out of isolation into community,
giving the living bread of hope
for the dry bread of their
disappointment.

He did this by sharing himself with them,
sharing the scripture that spoke of him,
and the bread that was his body.

No long instructions,
no long exhortations,
just the openness
of sharing himself with them.

This is his plea to us, his Church:
be light in darkness,
be joy in sadness,
be community in isolation,
be Eucharist to dry bread,
be wholeness to broken life.
