Week of Sacraments
Congratulations to all involved. A wonderful week, culminating in the brilliant finale that was the "Parish Garden Party" to celebrate Father O'Dwyer's silver jubilee. This event really had something for everyone no matter what their age. It was enjoyed by all.

week of sacraments
Congratulations to all concerned on a fantastic week.It was great to see new faces within the parish becoming actively involved. The success was indeed down to the dedication and determination of our two fabulous clerics and mirrored their own deep spirituality. For that we thank God. Lets hope this hasn't been a one off!!

Simply Excellent
Congratulations on a very good and informative website. Now that the website is firmly established, may I suggest a page on the history of Drumcree Parish, including full details of parish administrators, priests, sisters, benefactors and characters. We owe a huge debt to past generations who struggled to make Drumcree Parish what it is today. If possible, links to registers of births, baptisms, marriages and deaths (and cemetery records)would be very much appreciated.
Beannacht Dia.

Challenge ahead
Martin Luther king once gave a speech which lasted 6 seconds it goes...
You write the gospel a chapter each day by the deeds that you do and the words that you say .People read what you write whether faithless, or true what is the gospel according to you. As we enter our week of prayer and reflection may we practice our catholic faith which we received at baptism and try and live the life Christ showed us by word and action in the gospels. In faith, humility and love.

Music
What a great website - fantatic wey to keep up with things in the parish. I was wondering if anyone else remembers the music groups that used to perform on the alter every so often in St Patricks, as a young person this would encourage me to go to mass and enjoy it as well. It would be fantastic to have something like this again, if only once a month. We have a lot of talented musicans and singers throughout the parish, and this would be a great opportunity for them to show their talents and get involved in the parish as well. Maybe encourage those within the parish who maybe have stopped attending mass return.

what about a holiday
Why not start to run parish trips abraod like Fr. Toal R.I.P.use to back in the 70s It would be a great way for those who dont like travelling on their own to join a large group. Any ideas of where and when to travel? I am sure we could force one of our Priests to join us.I know we have the annual pilgrimage to Lourdes but what about other areas combining both pilgrimage and holiday we could start working on it now for next year give people a chance to save.

Great to be able to keep in touch with what is going on through the new parish website.Congratulations to those involved in setting it up and running it. Maybe some of next week's talks will be available on the website for those of us who are interested but unable to attend. Thank you.

TOGETHER AHEAD
Glad to read such positive thoughts from our young of the parish as you said it is always the minority who get the publicity, and as I said in my message yesterday we have a chance to reflect in the coming weeks and to show continuing support for the parish in an inclusive way lets unite in prayer and thoughts and thanks for what we have

A youth perspective
Just to say i feel that the website is an excellent way to communicate the good news of our parish both locally and over the world as Fr. White commented recently, i feel that the guestbook is an opportunity for parishoners to comment on the presentation and idea of the website, i do not feel this is the place to criticise young people as there are good young people within our parish community who do have respect for their and others deceased relatives and regarding elected members of the parish council and those asked to stand for election they were fair and very willing representatives and i hope the good work continues. Hopefully the sign up sunday initiative next weekend, groups will recruit new faces and then the same old faces will not have to do everything.
Next weekend in our week of prayer let us pray for one another and give thanks for our parish and the skills and talents of many people in our parish both hidden and known, for all this let us give thanks.
