youth participation
Congratulations to all those working with the youth of Saint Mary's youth club who have indeed excelled themselves. Their portrayal of the stations of the cross was very moving and deeply reflective. The recent mass for exams should have inspired all undertaking exams.

Brilliant idea
I just found this website on the St. John's PS link page. Didn't even know it existed! I think it's a fantastic idea. We don't be at home every weekend and now that I've found this site, I'll be able to keep up to date with what's happening in the parish. Easy navigation and a credit to all those involved with setting it up. Brilliant!!

blessing of grotto
a very big thank you to all the Lourdes Committee and to the Priests of our Parish for three wonderful days of dedicated devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes. Truly as a Parish we are blessed with the numbers of our congergation willing to give of their time and spirituality for the benefit of others.Last night was a dream come true for the many devoted to Our Lady;and perhaps a haven for those unable to make the Journey to France. Perhaps we can resume May devotions with a special event at our newly dedicated Grotto. A truly moving and memorable event in our Parish's history.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES
On the day before this most special feast let us remember in humilty the life of St Bernadette accustomed so much to pain and suffering,bearing a deep understanding of eternal love for her Lord. "nothing is anything more to me; everything is nothing to me but Jesus. neither things nor persons, neither ideas nor emotions, neither honour or sufferings Jesus is for me honour, delight, heart and soul." May we too learn to open our hearts to whatever the Lord wishes to bestow on us. "You must receive God well; give Him a loving welcome for then He has to pay us rent"
